About Council Bluffs Symphony Orchestra
COUNCIL BLUFFS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
MEET CBSO PLAYERS
Council Bluffs Symphony Orchestra is a volunteer orchestra made up of musicians of all ages. The organization started to keep music alive in today’s ever-changing world. Membership is free. Please fill out our "Interested Member" form to inquire about open positions.
Their mission is to be a facilitator for an inspired public of all ages and all walks of life through live and groundbreaking musical performances. Their vision is, through the power of music, to inspire the community, connect people from all backgrounds, and help the community grow to further better life as we know it.
The orchestra not only provides fine art to the community but also brings the symphony into current popular culture. Their desire is to provide a diverse learning experience for children and adults that builds and maintains the appreciation of music with all generations.
If you are interested in being considered for future auditions, please fill out the form below. CBSO will contact you if an opportunity to audition arises. If a position does not become available this season, you will be added to the CBSO mailing list and notified when season auditions are announced.

PACE CHILDREN'S CHOIR
Join us for our new community children’s choirs (Grades K–2 and 3–5), where young singers can learn, grow, and share the joy of music while building confidence, teamwork, and musical skills.

AUDITIONS
All singers will perform America (My Country ’Tis of Thee). Please arrive 10 minutes early. Register for ONE time slot:

- Sat, JAN 17, 2026 – 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

If selected for the choir, the participation fee is $75 per child. Scholarships are available.
REHEARSALS
- Grades K–2: Saturdays, 9:00–10:00 AM
- Grades 3–5: Saturdays, 10:30–11:45 AM
