Jeff Koterba will discuss how not only how his ideas about Covid evolved during the pandemic but also how his drawing process changed for good, and for the better, thanks to social distancing and lockdowns. Additionally, he’ll explore how the very nature of the “European maze” format of the cartoon exhibit at PACE, the first in the world on the pandemic, inspired one of the cartoons that would eventually find its way into the show. Think art imitating art.
That’s just one example of the ways Koterba finds inspiration for his work, which he’ll explore along with other matters related to cartoons in our modern world.
